It's Friday!

Tonight Aggie offered to give Munch her bottle. It was really cute, the two of them in their sleepers (pajamas), the Munch almost as big as Aggie. But they were fine with...at least for a little while.

The big event of the day was a trip to Wal-Mart. I'm learning that a trip to Wal-Mart is always a big event. We have to travel about half an hour to get there, along very windy roads. The kids did great though and we got everything we needed. I wish I had my camera with me in the store. They didn't have any of the 2-kid buggies, so I had Esther up front and Aggie in the back with all the groceries. By the time we got to the check-out you could hardly see her. But it didn't bother her one bit. She thought it was some kind of adventure. Of course the real adventure began when I got her out of the buggie to find her soaking wet. She had put on a pull-up (without my knowing it) before we left. And as any parent knows, pull-ups just don't have the capacity of a diaper. And of course I forgot to repack the diaper bags with a new set of clothes, so the child road home in only a diaper like a little redneck kid.

One of my favorite things of the day is reading time in the evenings. I'm not particularly good at it but Mommy is. The kids love it that she gets to checkout books from the library at her school. Recently they've been reading about Juney B going to the first grade. McGrooter listens intently while the girls show varying interest.

One other thing I should add...thanks to Rachael Ray I cooked a wonderful dinner (or at least I thought so). The kids weren't as excited about the chicken as they were about the smashed potatoes and broccoli, but Mommy liked it. I think the use of fresh rosemary and thyme might have been a little overload on their tastebuds. It was yummy though and Mommy was happy to have dinner taken care of!
